As a graduate of Tyler School of Art, Andrea has always loved working with her hands to reveal something new and unexpected. For many years, she loved creating these surprises with her camera, traveling the world as an award-winning photojournalist for The Philadelphia Daily News.
While taking ten years off to raise her three children, Andrea took her first upholstery class and discovered a whole new technique for bringing color to life. She knew she had finally found a way to blend her art school education with her photography background in a career that celebrated color, composition, texture, and design.
From the seed of this inspiration, and out of her own two hands, Wild Chairy blossomed.
Wild Chairy is rooted in fearless expression, an exuberant tearing down of boundary, and a joyful devotion to the idea that creativity should be fun.
Notable clients, such as actor and producer Téa Leoni, call upon Andrea to join them in collaboration to create artistic and experimental designs. From furniture pieces to fabric selection to interior design, the results are creations that feel like the client’s own self, an extension of their home, style, and personality.
